Original glass plate negative capturing the 1928 World Champion New York Yankees in a traditional team pose. Twenty-seven team members are pictured here, including Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, manager Miller Huggins, Tony Lazzeri, Bill Dickey, Leo Durocher, Earle Combs, Waite Hoyt, Pat Collins, Bob Meusel, and Mark Koenig. Although no information is provided on the negative, we have seen an original news photo of this image complete with its paper caption on the reverse identifying both the year and players. The negative (5x4") displays a small area of emulsion loss near the right border. Accompanied by a small positive photo of the image printed on paper.
