1928 World Champion New York Yankees Team-Signed Baseball w/Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig (PSA)

Displayed is a signed baseball with 12 signatures of the 1928 World Series champion New York Yankees and its Murderers' Row. The first six batters in the New York Yankees 1927 Murderers' Row returned for another season with Murderers' Row in 1928. The name Murderers' Row was a reference to a part of the Tombs Prison in New York City where real murderers resided. The only murdering that the 1928 Yankees did was solely to baseballs. Hall of Famer Babe Ruth socked 54 homers, scored 163 runs, drove in 146, and hit .323. Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig hit 27 home runs, scored 139, knocked in 147 and hit .374. As a team, the 1928 Murderers' Row led the league with 894 runs, socked the most homers with 133, and had the highest batting average at .296. Other members of key six players in Murderers' Row were Tony Lazzeri, Earl Combs. Mark Koenig, and Bob Meusel. The 1928 Murderers' Row Yankees won the AL pennant and then murdered the St. Louis Cardinals, sweeping the World Series. Conforming to their relative status on the team, Babe Ruth signed in a clearly visible signature on the sweet spot in blue ink. and Lou Gehrig signed with a visible, but faint, neat signature just off the sweet spot. Some of the 12 signatures are clear; some are faint, or very faint. Others among the 12 signatures included are: Leo Durocher, inducted into the HOF for his managing; Also signing were three Murderers' Row sluggers - Tony Lazzeri, HOF; Bob Meusel; and Mark Koenig (faint signature). A signed baseball with either Ruth or Gehrig would be very desired. Here's a ball with both Ruth and Gehrig, plus other key members of the iconic World Champion 1928 New York and its Yankees Murderers' Row. Comes with PSA LOA.
