1930's-50's Cincinnati Reds Signed Photograph Album
Masterful book created by devoted fan of the machine before it was big and red. Each 11x8" page is devoted to a player. It features a magnificent 9x6" newspaper photo of a player and is signed in a silver pen against the black page at the bottom. Signatures are absolutely gigantic! Includes McKechnie, Lombardi, Derringer, Vander Meer, Walters, Gowdy, Wilson, Riggs, Goodman, Joost, Craft, Berger, Werber, Al Simmons, and Roush (pencil). There are team pages of the 1949 (Cuccinello) and the 1954 Reds (Klu). Best of all is the page devoted to Willard Hershberger. Top is heart-wrenching image of Willard superimposed over his funeral-flowered home plate. On the other page an action shot signed at the bottom. Total of forty-five pages with fifty-two signatures.
