1930's Earl Averill Game Worn Spikes
You can't beat the provenance on these black beauties--we've got a copy of a LOA on them from the Hall of Fame outfielder himself. Wear is exceptional. These guys didn't switch shoes every couple of weeks (or even every season) the way players do today. Ancient clay is still caked to the spikes, and the leather is scuffed from hard action. "Spalding" size 6 1/2 tagging in each tongue.
