1930's Ernie Lombardi Game Worn Catcher's Mask, Spikes & Reds Hall of Fame Plaque
He is called the slowest runner in the Hall of Fame (and that includes umpires and executives), so don't expect these game worn spikes to give you great foot speed. They won't. They will, however, take your collection up to Cooperstown quality. Leather spikes show strong use, as does the metal frame mask that took foul tips from the greatest hitters in the National League. "Nokona" tagging on elasticized band. The padding has torn a bit, allowing the cotton stuffing to escape in places, but it's still a brilliant display piece. Spikes are in great condition. Also, from the same closest, is Lombardi's plaque that he was presented with when he was inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame. Originally acquired from the Lombardi family. LOA.
