1930's POLICE Riot Helmet
This doughboy-style metal helmet was influenced by WWI and, so, is considered to be a pre-World War II helmet. This is the type used to quell riots by Unionists like Woody Guthrie in the Dust Bowl 1930's. “POLICE" has been hand painted on the front in white. EX+. The black tag inside says, "Sanitary Cushion Lining, Patented #1575251". Another beige tag has "16-3" handwritten on it. Nice condition with original insert to make it comfortable in case you got hit in the head with a brick from a young Jimmy Hoffa.
