1930s Billy Rogell Detroit Tigers Jacket

1930s Billy Rogell Detroit Tigers Jacket

Extremely rare from any player let alone the man most famous for hitting Dizzy Dean in the head. When x-rays found nothing according to Ol' Diz's famous quote, this champion shortstop paired with Hall of Famer Charlie Gehringer and cheekily replied, "If I had known his head was there I would have thrown harder." Featuring the highest quality manufacturing, this is finely crafted with plush leather lining and sleeves. The traditional gothic "D" is sewn on, and there is a size "42" tag, and the tag in collar is missing. However, there is no mistaking Rogell's number "7" plainly sewn on the left sleeve with "Wm. G. Rogell" chain stitched on a swatch inside. There's a 4" tear on the left sleeve and a few other minor tears, as well as team repairs on the sleeves, cementing its game use. A spectacular-looking jacket and a style for the ages is fresh to the market from the top shelf 50-year collection.
