1930s Boxing & Wrestling Tijuana Bibles (4) w/John L. Sullivan
Pornographic collectible was the smut of the era. "Tijuana Bibles" were these engaging booklets crudely made in the United States, but earned the monicker of "Tijuana" perhaps to throw off the cops. <span style="font-size: 14px; background-color: #ffffff; font-family: sans-serif; color: #222222;">Crudely made and highly illegal these were sold under the counter by various retailers. Group of four includes satires on the names of Jim Londos, Gene Tunney and Primo Carnera. Only John L. Sullivan gets his real name as he was deceased. As for the others (living) they were worried that these galoots would show up and kick their a----s (or sue them).</span>
