1930s Captain & the Kids Parade Mask - Store Stock Condition

Originally called the "The Katzenjammer Kids" and created by the German-American cartoonist Rudolph Dirks, The Capatain And The Kids comic strip holds the distinction of being the longest running newspaper comic in history having run uninterrupted since 1897. As unique as it is rare, this Captain And The Kids parade mask is simply an incredible piece. This 1930's novelty is made completely of paper mache and is of exceptional quality. Hand painted and highly detailed, this mask was certainly made by a talented person who cared about their craft. Children of the time surely wanted to get their hands on something of this magnitude. In near perfect condition, this mask has never been used and only shows slight shelf wear.
