1930s Giants Barnstorming Bat Crate
A fabulous, one-of-a-kind piece of sports folk art from a long-forgotten era. This hand-painted bat crate features the familiar black and orange colors of the New York Giants set against an original green-painted backdrop. It was used by an unknown barnstorming team, though "Edwards Giants" is emblazoned on the back. This was used exclusively for baseball bats, and we feel it is one of the finer pieces in this auction. The New York Giants influence is staggering. You will never see one this rare again! It is in exemplary condition and is distinguished by wonderful iron handles on the sides. Measures 40.5" x 18" x 9.5".
