1930s Puerto Rican Real Photo Team Postcard & Original Negatives
Highly rare team shots from the 1939-40 Puerto Rican Winter League -- including Caguas, with an unassuming looking Josh Gibson 2nd from right in the back row. All shots have the teams in front of massive advertising signs for brands of beer or rum, with 3 shots -- of San Juan, Mayaguez & Aguadilla -- on original negatives and Caguas on a postcard, which was apparently how the photos were to be used, for a liquor industry ad campaign. Postcard 3 1/2 x 5 1/4" with creases and writing on back. Negs NRMT.
