1931 World Series Program

1931 World Series Program

The 1931 World Series saw the Philadelphia A's tried to capture their second straight title over the St. Louis Cardinals. This program is the Philadelphia edition from the '31 Series, with a cover illustration of the respective teams' mascots ready to do battle. There is some fading on the cover and the unscored scorecard in the center has separated from the staples, but overall the publication is in VG condition. The series itself turned into a seven-game classic, with the teams exchanging series leads before St. Louis avenged its previous loss with a 4-2 victory in the decisive Game 7.
