1932 Babe Ruth (PSA Type III Photo)

1932 Babe Ruth (PSA Type III Photo)

"Every strike brings me closer to the next home run," said Babe Ruth, a positive thinker with a lot to be positive about. In 1932, the estimated year of this Type III photo, Ruth was 37 years old and still going strong. The Yankee Hall of Famer banged out 41 home runs, with 137 RBIs, all while batting .341. After all these years, Ruth still has the best slugging percentage (.690) and the best OPS (1.164) in the history of baseball. The great Hall of Famer was larger than life, on and off the ball field. The enclosed PSA/DNA Letter of Authenticity states, "The photo was made from a duplicate negative by Universal featuring an edited image of the 1927 Babe Ruth Underwear portrait by Apeda Studios." The black and white photo measures 4.75x6". It comes with a PSA/DNA Letter of Authenticity certifying the photo as "TYPE III." It has some cracks and there is a top piece missing, but it is the Babe.
