1932 Schmeling-Sharkey Program
On June 21, 1932, at the Madison Square Garden Bowl in Long Island City, New York, Max Schmeling defended his title against the man he originally won it from in 1930, Jack Sharkey. Sharkey won a highly controversial 15-round split decision and the title. Future champion Jimmy Braddock fought on the undercard. Offered here is a very scarce official program to this event. This official program - discovered in Germany - consists of 36 pages with photos and profiles of the fighters. It has a mild center crease, tight binding, and the covers are soiled with light staining. Has some edge and corner wear, not scored, and measures 9x12." This is a tough-to-find Heavyweight Championship program in EX+ condition.
