1932 World Champion New York Yankees Team-Signed Baseball w/Lou Gehrig (PSA)

Official American League ball signed in blue ink by twenty-five members of the 1932 World Champion New York Yankees: Gehrig, McCarthy (Mgr.), Ruffing, Combs, Pennock, Dickey, Gomez, Sewell, Lazzeri, Byrd, Lary, Moore (sweet spot), Hoag, Brown, Painter (trainer), Wells, Allen, Jorgens, Pipgras, MacFayden, Crosetti, Burke (coach), Chapman, and one other (faded beyond legibility). (The Babe Ruth signature on the sweet spot has been deemed a clubhouse version by PSA.) The date “Sep 12/1932” and the name “Dobe Paskert” (most likely the name of the original owner), are written, respectively, on the sweet spot and a side panel. Powered by two doubles by Lou Gehrig and a home run by Bill Dickey, the Yankees defeated the Cleveland Indians 8-3 in twelve innings at Cleveland Stadium on September 12, 1932. Red Ruffing went the distance for the Yankees, notching his eighteenth win of the season. Signatures range from 1/10 to 7/10, averaging 6/10. The ball has been coated with a protective layer of shellac, to which there are a few small chips and abrasions. In Very Good condition overall. Full LOA from PSA.
