In 1935, Lombardi was the right guard on Fordham's Seven Blocks of Granite, the name given to the Fordham line in the university's glory years. The '35 team had a 6-1-2 record and were ranked Number 11 among Eastern college teams. Of course, Lombardi went on to be an assistant coach at the U.S. Military Academy, an assistant coach the New York Giants, and a head coach in the NFL for ten years, with nine years at Green Bay and a final season at Washington. With Green Bay, Lombardi was a 5-time NFL Champion and a 2-time Super Bowl winner. The Super Bowl Trophy is named after him. The ticket stubs make fine mementos of Lombardi's time at Fordham.
