1933 All-Star Game Ticket
Now known as the "Midsummer Classic," the Major League Baseball All-Star Game made its debut way back in 1933. This lot contains a rare ticket stub from the very first recognized baseball All-star game played at Comiskey Park in Chicago on July 6. The host squad took that inaugural contest, as the American League prevailed over the National by a 4-2 count, propelled by a third-inning, two-run home run by an aging Babe Ruth. Who knew back then what $1.10 (the face value of the ducat) could buy? The eye appeal and color are crisp and bright. A couple small wrinkles make this stub a technical in very good condition yet; it really presents an excellent condition.
