1933 Century of Progress World's Fair Policeman's Uniform with Badge

1933 Century of Progress World's Fair Policeman's Uniform with Badge

Prior to the World's Fair in 1939, an international exhibition dubbed the "Century of Progress" took place in Chicago, and featured this actual Policemen's uniform with a genuine Chicago Policeman's name (inside the pocket) and badge-number (22855). Decked out in vivid red and black, the outfit is reminiscent of the attire worn by Canada's Royal Mounted Police. It is labeled on the inside pocket: (exceptional quality) "The Fair Chicago." Beautiful brass buttons with the Century of Progress logo are salable by themselves. This is of collecting interest to several categories including World's Fair, police and even baseball as these coats were worn at the first-ever All-Star Game at Chicago's Comiskey Park in 1933.
