1933 Goudey Indian High Grade Collection All SGC Graded (79)
They are somewhat controversial and highly collectible. They are the Goudey Indian Gum set from 1933, and they are perhaps the most coveted non-sports set out there. Fresh to the hobby, these cards were located in a New York candy store that had closed just before WWII. These had been kept in the family for generations since the original purchase and are highlighted by fresh, vibrant colors.. All have been graded by SGC, and those grades include: SGC 84 (23), SGC 86 (10), SGC 88 (6) and SGC 92 (1). The rest average SGC 60 or better. Subjects include Davey Crockett, Sitting Bull, Daniel Boone, William Penn & Colonel Bowie. A full list is available online. In this age of political correctness that has even the Washington Redskins nickname embroiled in controversy (rightly or wrongly), these cards have even more of an impact right now.
