1933 Primo Carnera Boxing Photographs (30)
On July 30, 1933 Primo Carnera and jack Sharkey met in the boxing ring. This incredible lot of (30) vintage news photographs capture the bout, in which Carnera took down Sharkey for the World Heavyweight title, in fantastic detail. Sizes range from 4 x 5.5 to 5 x 6". Incredible condition, mostly EX & NM (with a small number VG or MT). Some old-school "cut and paste" on a few of these. Fascinating what was done to get a clear image for the crude print quality of a newspaper.
