1934-37 Rogers Hornsby Game Used Bat

1934-37 Rogers Hornsby Game Used Bat

This bat was used by Hall of Fame hitter Rogers Hornsby, when he played for the St. Louis Browns. This Powerized Louisville Slugger bat, made of professional grade ash, exhibits heavy use, with a flared knob that is consistent with Hornsby's signature model. The bat was used between 1934 and 1937, before model numbers were issued. The shape of the capital letter "M" has been etched into the knob. The bat measures 34.75" long and weighs 32.8 oz. Deeply embedded stitch marks and cleat marks are evident. The handle has been professionally repaired. There is some swelling to the grain of the bat, which shows a small amount of pine tar. This beauty of a bat bears no negative characteristics, but all positive, including heavy ball and bat rack marks. Mears hologram and LOA.
