1934 Dean Brothers Sweatshirts Display Box

1934 Dean Brothers Sweatshirts Display Box

Here's a unique 1934 Dizzy and Paul Dean Sweat Shirts red box made of cardboard; this is a wholesale item as it contained six shirts, too many to be sold as complete box, hence the rarity. The Dean brothers did many endorsements, which was unusual at the time. The large box measures 14.5" long, 10.25" wide and just shy of 8" tall. It displays a killer paper label on the front and a smaller label on the side with portrait images of their faces. Originally a fantastic image from the St. Louis Post Dispatch, they took a black and white photo and hand-colored it to create a full color cover, which has some water damage and soiling but the players' images are great looking. PIANO ROLLS is written in pencil above the player's heads on the lid. The only one we've offered.
