1934 Mae West Old Gold Advertising Standee

1934 Mae West Old Gold Advertising Standee

Mae West was smokin'. Literally. The flirtatious queen of the double-entendre cross-promotes Old Gold Cigarettes and the release of her film "Goin' to Town" in one fell swoop, bedecked in her mermaid-esque dress, wrap and jewelry. The standee is magnificently die-cut with some markings and warping, but still hold up well. Comes with an easel back and stands 51" tall. The messaging reads: "WHEN YOU COME UP, YOU'LL FIND OLD GOLDS - MAE WEST," referencing her famous line, "Why don't you come up and see me sometime." At the base is the slogan "STIMULATING... BUT NEVER IRRITATING."
