1934 Rudy York Detroit Tigers American League Championship Ring

1934 Rudy York Detroit Tigers American League Championship Ring

A seven-time All-Star first baseman, Rudy York earned this jewelry in his rookie season of 1934, when the Detroit Tigers captured the American League crown with a 101-53 record. York only played two games at the end of that season, and both as a catcher. This size 11 ring features a tiger apparently holding a diamond, with a shield reading: DETROIT '34 to the left. York was part Cherokee Indian and led the American League in both home runs (34) and RBI (118) nine years later in 1943. The ring comes in its original box with the Sallan Jewelers stamp on the inside. The ring is 14K with a diamond.
