Baseball's all-time greatest player exited the grand stage in the same city where he started: as a Boston Brave in 1935 after roughly a month as a part-time player. And "The Bambino" is featured in the program that highlights this historic Braves lot. Ruth appeared in the lineup that Opening Day, batting third in the scorecard dated April 16, 1935 - his first game with the Braves - and delivering an RBI single and two-run homer to the delight of an adoring crowd that heartily applauded The Babe's National League debut. It comes with a 5x9.5" Type I photo stamped "April 24 1935." Also included in the lot are: 2) Scarce media guides from 1931, 1937, 1940 (Stengel cover), 1942-45, 1947-50 (two different 1948 versions) and 1952. They are high grade, ranging from EX to NM with 13 total. 3) Boston Braves programs: 1927, 1928, 1931-36, 1938-40, 1942-46, 1948 with rare menu instead of scorecard, 1950, 1951 (3), 1952 (3) and others.
