1935 National Chicle Football Near Set With Nagurski
This was the first major NFL set issued in gum packs, and the bright colors resemble the Diamond Stars baseball companion. The high numbers are more desirable and very difficult. Includes Bronko Nagurski. Key cards #1 Clark GD, #7 Strong VG, 9 Rockne SGC 50 VG/EX 4, 10 Battles VG, 11 Edwards POOR, 22 Kelley POOR, 23 Feathers SGC 40 VG 3, 25 Bernett SGC 50VG/EX 4, 29 MacMurdo SGC 50 VG/EX 4, 30 Caddell SGC 20 1.5, 34 Nagurski SGC 20 far better eye appeal, 35 Johnson SGC 45 VG/EX+ and 36 Masterson FAIR. The set has a wide variety up to VG/EX and could benefit from a few upgrades to make for a nice eye-appeal set. Cards #31 & 32 are missing.
