Type II Image used for Joe DiMaggio's 1936 R312 card. The Yankee Clipper began as a star, hitting .323, with 29 homers and 125 RBI in his first year in the Majors. Type II photograph by George Burke, also the photographer of the 1939 Play Ball Ted Williams rookie. Photo is a 1950s contact print restruck by Brace from the original negative featuring an image he originally took in 1936. Measures 5x7" with black border. Beautiful image of the 22-year-old Joe DiMaggio. Top labeled "1936, 888 A5," "Joe DiMaggio" handwritten on back, likely in Brace's hand. Authenticated and encapsulated by PSA.
