1936 Ted Williams Signed Herbert Hoover High School Yearbook (JSA)
The Kid starred as a hitter and pitcher at Herbert Hoover Senior High School. He signs in NRMT blue ink over his likeness in the baseball team photo. The text below praises Williams for his pitching more than his hitting. Outer covers show wear, especially on the spine. However the inner pages are all intact and clean. A few months later, Ted would be playing for the San Diego Padres of the Pacific Coast league and, soon after, immortality awaited him Beantown. An extremely rare offering, this is only the second example we have encountered in more than twenty years.
