1936 World Series Game Used Baseball From Bill Klem

1936 World Series Game Used Baseball From Bill Klem

Hall of Fame umpire Bill Klem worked a record 18 World Series, eight more than the next-closest arbiter. One of those fall classics was in 1936, when the Yankees downed their crosstown rivals, the New York Giants, in six games to earn their fifth crown. This official National League (Frick) baseball shows use and was signed by the four umpires who worked the Series, though they are all extremely light. The ball comes with an LOA attesting to the fact that the ball was given directly by Klem to one of his neighbors. There is a very light notation on a side panel which reads: "World Series 1936 Giants vs. Yankees."
