1937 Kellogg’s American Athletes Near Set (75/86) In Album - From Its Creator’s Archive
From the archives of the largest producers of children’s premiums of the era, Sam & Gordon Gold and comes with their LOA. Album is a stately 14.5x10” and carries the title “Kellogg's Album of American Athletes and Games.” Inside is the playing field and game spinner to play this game with these cards. Cards (1.75x1”) are glued in the appropriate spaces and they represents all sports: 16 Baseball (Walter Johnson, Terry, Appling, Mordecai Brown, Speaker, Johnny Evers, Herman, Medwick, Paul Waner, Hartnett, Vaughan, Durocher), 18 Football (Jim Thorpe, Nagurski, Grange, Nevers), 11 Boxing (Jim Corbett, Tunney, Sharkey, Walker, Ross, Fitzsimmons, Willard, Leonard), 10 Golf (Walter Hagen), 5 Tennis (Bill Tilden), 5 Swimming (Crabbe), 5 Horses (Equipoise Fox), 5 Auto Racing, 5 Aviators (Rickenbacker, Doolittle). Album has tape strains on inside back o/w EX+ and unpunched, cards are EX to NRMT with the key cards being really nice.
