1937 Lou Gehrig and Mother Photograph
This 9x6.75" photo depicts the "Iron Horse," Lou Gehrig - resplendent in suit and bow tie - showing his mother, Christina, how to swing one of his legendary bats. The black & white shot has an Associated Press stamp on the verso with Aug. 5, 1937, date stamp. The paper caption is missing and there is a small tear and stain along the top border, the photo overall is in VG-EX condition.
