1937 Ted Williams Signed Player Assignment Agreement
Notes: The start of it all-this is the document that sent Ted Williams to the Boston Red Sox. “Uniform Agreement for the Assignment of a Player’s Contract to or by a Major League Club” appears at the top of the document. The agreement is dated December 7, 1937 and is between the San Diego Baseball Club of the PCL and the Boston American League Baseball Company. Not a bad deal as the Red Sox gave two players $20,000 in order to obtain Williams. Signed by a representative of the San Diego club and Eddie Collins for the Red Sox. Williams has signed in 8/10 black fountain ink in the center of the document. His signature was placed there at a later date. Framed and matted along with an original photo of 18 year old Ted playing for San Diego (signed), copy of caption, and Red Sox patch. This document is of major historical importance and ready for your wall of fame.

Condition: Mailing folds, otherwise EX-MT.
