1938 4th FB Silver Borders Chicago Bears Match Books (16)
Rare variation of the Diamond Matchbook Company's 1938 4th FB Chicago Bears set has the players with gritty expressions framed by a silver border and background and bios in a red section on the back cover. Set of 16 includes the best get of all -- Harold "Red" Grange, in his #77 uniform -- as well as Delbert Bjork, Gary Famiglietti, Daniel Fortmann, John Manders, Lester McDonald, Bert Johnson, Joe Maniaci, Robert Swisher, Russell Thompson, Gust Zarnas, Morris Badgro, etc. Books are 1.5 x 4.5" -- Grange is trimmed to 3.5" -- and VG w/the lightest possible damage (Grange is EX-MT).
