1938 Joe Louis v. Max Schmeling Coin Operated Mutoscope Machine

Ultra rare coin-operated machine shows you the film of the 124-second knockout of Max Schmeling by Heavyweight Champion Joe Louis. Deposit your nickel, look into the viewer, turn the brass crank and see Joe Louis tear Max Schmeling and the Third Reich apart in a fight that became an analogy of good versus evil. Header card at the top is an original one that has been restored with an original wire photo from the fight to perfectly compliment the machine. The header card looks absolutely <u>perfect</u> with image of the famous k.o. in the ring at Yankee Stadium. It is even artist signed “S.H.C.” Viewer works perfectly and is itself a work of art with cast metal florets and brass front plaque reading, “Manufactured by International Mutoscope Reel Company New York.” Paint has been perfectly restored to its original scheme and is in overall excellent condition. Stands over 70” tall including the original metal stand and header frame.
