1938 Joe Louis vs. Max Schmeling Program
Blazing on-site program for one of the great events in sports and political history, the rematch between Joe Louis and Max Schmeling. These two fighters transcended the sport of boxing, propelled into the political spotlight at the time of their first and second match ups. Louis' defeat in their first bout was largely taken as a personal defeat of the free world, by the Nazi poster boy. And so the second fight, ending in a first round KO of Germany's Great White Hope, was viewed as justifiable vindication.
