1938 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball With Gehrig & DiMaggio On The Sweet Spot
The year 1938 marked the third of what would become four consecutive World Series victories for the New York Yankees. The offered Official American League baseball (William Harridge, President) is loaded with twenty three signatures from the team. That, however, is only the beginning. A fantastic array of signatures includes Gehrig & DiMaggio, who sit together on the sweet spot - the first such placement of these two signatures that we have ever seen. Others are Dickey, Gordon, Rolfe, Crosetti, Henrich, Selkirk, Combs, Gomez, Ruffing, Hadley, Johnny Murphy, Pearson, Chandler, Sundra, Wes Ferrell, Powell, Hoag, Dahlgren, John Schulte, Art Fletcher & Joe Glenn. The clearly legible, black fountain pen autographs average a 7.5 out of 10 in strength, with the Gehrig and DiMaggio signatures grading a 9. The ball itself is in EX-MT condition, and exhibits great potential for display.
