1939 Complete Set of Wheaties 100 Years Baseball Cereal Box Panels (8)
In 1939, Wheaties supplied breakfast reading material for the youth of America as cereal boxes did for generations to come. In this series it was all about baseball, as the Centennial campaign was begun on by the backs of boxes and the box tops children saved to receive premiums celebrating the 100th birthday of baseball. This is a complete set of all eight box panels considered to be "cards" in the baseball collecting world. There are rough edges and one has a 1.5" tear. Measures 6.25x8.5" and made of cardboard.
