1939 Ed "Strangler" Lewis Signature w/Vintage Photo (PSA)

1939 Ed "Strangler" Lewis Signature w/Vintage Photo (PSA)

Ed (Strangler) Lewis called wrestlers "the Kings of men" and many believe that Lewis was the "King of Wrestling." Lewis held the Heavyweight Wrestling Championship five times over a period of 25 years, back in the days when there was only one champion, when there was no time limit and matches might last four or five hours. A great powerhouse of a man in his prime, Lewis had a 56-inch chest, wore a 22-inch collar and weighed 250 pounds. Nicely framed and matted signed cut that reads, "Sincerely, Ed Strangler Lewis May 8-39," with an equally unique photograph of the "Strangler" exercising in the gym. 19x25.5" overall, with chipping on bottom corner of frame. Photo has some creasing with a light stain, but still presents very well. PSA LOA.
Size: js
