1939 National League All Stars Signed Baseball
It was an All-Star match-up for the ages in the House That Ruth Built. A virtual pitching clinic, all the more effectively displayed with Joe McCarthy’s masterful use of the bullpen, ended in a 3-1 American League victory. 20-year-old rookie Bob Feller shut out the NL in 4 innings, letting up just 1 hit to close the performance of Yankee starter Red Ruffing, thereby proving his worth against the best hitters in the game. ONL (Frick) baseball boasts 25 total signatures from the National League All Stars including Ott, Terry, Vander Meer, Walters, Mize, Herman, Medwick, Derringer, McCormick & more. Signatures are somewhat faded, but all legible. Overall grade is 6 out of 10. Ball is toned to an off-white color. EX-MT condition.
