1939 New York World's Fair Banner

1939 New York World's Fair Banner

This stupendous, blue-and-white, 5' 9" x 8' 5" banner hung at one of the pavilions at the World's Fair in 1939 and boldly proclaims: "NEW YORK WORLD'S FAIR 1939." Obtained by legendary World's Fair dealer Ken Schultz many years ago, the flag is a rare and wonderful artifact from an extravaganza that lasted into 1940, covered 1,216 acres and attracted nearly 45-million people to Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in the borough of Queens, New York... the same site where it would be held in 1964.
