1939 New York World's Fair Pair of China Lamps (2)

These delightful porcelain lamps are throwbacks to the Art-Deco era and are marked "Made in England" on the bottom. Each stands 12.75" tall with bases measuring 5.5" x 4.5". The 1939 World's Fair was the first of two to take place in Flushing, Queens within a 25-year span and was the first exposition to be based on the future, with an opening slogan of "Dawn of a New Day."
