1940's Kid Gavilan Photograph Collection (31)
Never before seen on this side of the Gulf Stream, this astounding assortment of combat photos was acquired recently in Cuba. Most are action shots, with only seven shot outside the ring (and these are great too!). The quality of the shots in gorgeous, reminiscent of the dark, sweaty look of the detective movies of the era. You really get the feeling of what it was like to attend a Gavilan bout in a steamy Havana arena. Most shots were taken through the ring ropes from the front row. Shots are VG-EX or better, and measure 8x10".
