1940's Lloyd McDermott Game Worn Helmet
This well-worn pigskin football helmet was used by Lloyd McDermott while playing for the El Toro Flying Marines and the Santa Barbara Flying Marines. It may also have been worn by McDermott while playing football at the University of Kentucky in the late 1940s. McDermott was a member of the 1950 Orange Bowl team. His number 24 is stenciled on the back in black paint. Some wording appears to be scratched on both ear flaps. Comes with a photo of him wearing this helmet in game action.
