1940 and 1951 Cleveland Indians Phantom World Series Tickets

1940 and 1951 Cleveland Indians Phantom World Series Tickets

Talk about the "Mistake by the Lake"! In preparation for World Series that never came, the Indians printed tickets in both 1940 and 1951 when the Tribe was on the precipice of capturing elusive pennants. In 1940, Cleveland was eliminated in the season's final weekend, falling short to Detroit by a single game. Eleven years later, the Indians were 1.5 games behind the first-place Yankees with a week to go but dropped five of their final six games to finish in the runner-up spot yet again. Offered here are a 1940 block of three tickets in EX condition and a 1951 block of five that are in VG condition with some creases and light staining on the back. Get your tickets here!
