Lou Ambers vs. Lew Jenkins On Site Poster (1940). On May 10, 1940 at Madison Square Garden in New York World Lightweight Champion Lou Ambers defended the title he won from Henry Armstrong against Lew Jenkins, “the Sweetwater Swatter.” Jenkins put Ambers down four times before referee Billy Cavanaugh put a stop to the action in the third round. The Texan, Lew Jenkins was the new World Lightweight Champion. Offered here is a very rare on site poster to this event. This poster is a three sheet (40” x 80”) paper poster which has been professionally linen backed. Some of the original folds are evident. Overall, clean and in excellent condition.
