1940 School Report Signed by Almost the Entire American League

1940 School Report Signed by Almost the Entire American League

Back in 1940, Phillip Leon was an ordinary schoolboy from Detroit fascinated with baseball. After impressing his teacher with his report on the players of the American league, his teacher gave the report to Del Baker, the Tigers Manager, who in turn got nearly every player to sign. With nearly 185 signatures, including many Hall of Famers like Joe DiMaggio, Lefty Gomez , Jimmie Foxx, Lefty Grove, Bruce Campbell, Connie Mack, Joe McCarthy, this already-impressive report grew in value and worth. Shows its age with a toning of the pages, but the handwriting and signatures are very neat.
