1940 World Champion Chicago Bears Team Signed Photograph
The 1940 Chicago entry completed an 8-3 regular season and ran roughshod of the Washington Redskins as their 73-0 victory secured the NFL Championship, a fitting precursor to the "Monsters of Midway" era. This b+w photo, measuring 9.5" x 6.5" is an original team photo and is in EX-MT condition. The photo is signed by 31 players in 6/10 (average) fountain ink and includes the likes of Sid Luckman, Bernie Masterson, George McAfee, Dan Fortmann, George Wilson, George Musso, Joe Stydahar, and the rest of the team. This item comes directly from the family of team member, Bill Osmanski. Among other accomplishments, George "Papa Bear" Halas' squad implemented the "T Formation" for the first time en route to their fourth league title.
