1940s & 1950s Jackie Robinson Ribbon-Pin Collection (8)
Collection of eight different Jackie Robinson stadium pins dating from the late 1940s and 1950s. Jackie Robinson pins have always been highly coveted by collectors and this is a choice grouping because each retains its original ribbon and/or charm. Each circular pin features a portrait image of Robinson along with his printed name. Six pins measure 1.75" in diameter, while the other two are slightly smaller and measure 1.25" in diameter. One of the two smaller pins dates from Robinson's historic 1947 rookie season and reads "Brooklyn Dodgers 1947 Congratulations Jackie." Two other pins, featuring additional text reading "I'm Rooting for Jackie Robinson," are also believed to date from 1947 or shortly after. Aside from minor oxidation on the reverse, the pins are in Excellent to Mint condition overall. The ribbons and charms are well attached and remain in similarly fine condition. This is an outstanding collection of Jackie Robinson pins that would be a welcome addition to any advanced Jackie Robinson, Brooklyn Dodgers, or baseball pin collection.
