1940s-50s "Pancho" Screen-Worn Ensemble by Leo Carillo & Frank Yaconelli (Family Sourced)

1940s-50s "Pancho" Screen-Worn Ensemble by Leo Carillo & Frank Yaconelli (Family Sourced)

A full set including vest, pants, gloves, rope, blanket and stirrup served as covers for the Cisco Kid's sidekick. The vest and pants were originally made for Frank Yaconelli in his role as "Pancho" for the 1940s era films, then re-purposed for Leo Carillo's use in the same role for the TV series. Years later, Yaconelli reacquired the costume for his stage performances as Pancho. The Indian wool blanket, calf skin gauntlets and leather stirrup covers were worn only by Carillo, and the pants have a tag inside labeled "Leo Carillo" with size. Pants and vest come from Yaconelli's son, while the rest comes from Carillo's daughter. Pants and gloves show great use with stains and repairs.
