1940s-70s New York Knickerbockers Program Collection - Some Signed (75)
Spanning back to the early days of the BAA comes this collection of programs from the great history of the New York Knickerbockers. The earliest program dates back to the Knickerbocker's second season in existence and goes all the way up to the '70s Championship era. Both Knicks Championship years are included as well as many games against the Boston Celtics during their championship years. The following is a detailed description of the programs, by year; 1947 (1): 10/15 vs. St. Louis (2nd game of season). 1948 (8): with March 28th Playoffs vs. Bullets and (2) signed including Braun. 1949 (12): with (9) signed, including Knicks team signed 1st NBA home game program, 3/26 Playoffs vs. Baltimore. 1958 (1): vs. St. Louis and Bob Petit. 1959 (1): October 17, 1959, Knicks vs. College All-Stars including Wilt Chamberlain (one week before NBA debut). 1960 (4): Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Jerry West, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Bob Cousy. 1961 (9): Wilt Chamberlain (4, including 59 point game), Bill Russell (2), Oscar Robertson (3), Bob Cousy, Jerry West, Elgin Baylor. 1964 (1): 10/12 vs. Celtics with Bill Russell. 1965 (2): 1/13/65 vs. Celtics with Bill Russell and 1/9 vs. Pistons. 1968-78 (32): Wilt Chamberlain, Pete Maravich, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, 1970 Championship year (3), 1973 Championship year (7). Playoffs (4): 1973 NBA Finals game 2, 1972, 1973 and 1974 Playoffs vs. Bullets, 1972 Playoffs vs. Celtics, 1972 Playoffs vs. Lakers. Overall EX-MT with many NM from earlier years.
